[Hello there, I was introduced to this place by Heather. My name is Colin. It is nice to meet and read all of you and your works. Please treat me well.
This is a story off of the top of my head, it is about a teenage boy, named Cory, who wishes to make a mark in this world before he leaves it forever. It will be written in a diary format.]Dear Forever,
Mom got me this really nice diary yesterday. It is bound in brown leather, with a small, silver lock at the side. I think she has a second key for it. Mom said that I should write everything that happens to me just in case I get into another accident and lose my memory again like the last time.
I have never written in a diary before, as far as I can remember. Mom seems to be taking this rather seriously. I do not know what to write here, because I have just woken up today. Perhaps I should write about my accident.
Remember that I told you I was in an accident that cost me all my memories? To this day I still do not remember it very well. The film in my head is blurry and all fuzzed out. I remember stepping off the kerb, and then I was lying on this really soft bed. When I tried to sit up my back would not support me, and I fell back down onto the mattress.
Mom said that a delivery truck had knocked me down. I had been in a coma for three months. The doctor said that it would take a while for my memories to return, but they never did. It has been two years now. I still remember nothing. Everything I know now, I know them as facts. I know that I am fifteen years old this year, and I know that my full, given name is Cory Tennyson Dexter. I know that I have a younger brother named Simon Patrick Dexter, and I know that my family has a calico cat named Netty. She will be seven this year.
Simon told me that I had picked Netty's name. I had said that it came from the ancient Egyptian called Nefertiti. Have you heard of her? I heard that she was one of the most beautiful women in the world. I think so too. Maybe that was the same thing on my mind when I gave Netty her name, because Netty is a very beautiful feline.
Dad is never at home. Mom says that Dad works in a job that forces him to travel a lot. I think I can appreciate what Dad sacrifices to let us live the way we live, and that is it for my family.
Do you know why I named you Forever? Mom said, when she got me this diary, that as long as I keep writing in it, I will be able to remember my past because I will have left something behind for my future self. I think she has a very good point. Memories may come and go, but at least, I can try to make sure they stay etched in the ebb and flow of time. At the very least, I can know that I was born and raised just like any other person.
As I do not have anything else to write down, I shall stop here for today. Perhaps something interesting will happen in school today.

It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Colin. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Wow, i have always loved reading stories in diary format. Ask Bitto- all the angsty teenage diaries I always have with me.
So this is definitely something new and all I can is, WOW! because Dear Forever certainly has a nice ring to it (:
Good work!
Can't wait to see how it develops.
Oh, and call me Cherlynn (:
Nice to meet you Colin!
Nice piece of work!
Keep it up!
